How to Save Hundreds, Even Thousands of Dollars on Your Phone Bill

First let’s talk cell phones. If you are a Verizon customer, you are probably hooked into a two year deal and are paying upwards of $60 per month for less than five hundred minutes of time. Lord help you if you go over your minutes - Verizon won’t.

The other major companies charge a comparable amount. All of them flog you with gigantic fees if you go over your minutes. They all also charge you for the phone. They may say it’s free but you are paying for it one way or the other.

On average people are paying between $800 and $1500 per year for basic cell phone service. And that service in many areas is very spotty. Where I live on Cape Cod, many people have to go outside to make or take a call on the cell. I have seen people in the middle of the winter, standing on the yellow line that halves a street, balancing on one leg trying to get reception on the bleeping cell phone.

The phone is free. You pay only $30.00 a month for the service. For your $30 you get 1000 minutes of talking time. You get 1000 texts. And you also get 30 mb of web access. Further, you get 411 (Information) for free!.

Wait there’s still more. You also get the Verizon or AT and T networks. The Walmart phones run on the other guys' networks. So if you have gotten great coverage from Verizon, you will get the same from the Walmart phone.

If you wish, you could get a new phone every month for your $30.00. In six months you could have six phones!!!! Yes you can keep your old number if you care to.

I tested the $30 plan in Dennis Port on Cape Cod where the cell reception is so bad that if cell phones were cars, everyone would have a horse. The Walmart phone for $30 per month was far better than the expensive Verizon and AT & T plans that I had previously tried.

Keep in mind, if you lose your Walmart phone, or it breaks or whatever, you will get another one (along with the 1000 minutes and texts) as soon as you pay another $30.00. Get one a month for the first couple of months so that you will have a few back up phones and batteries.
